No data collection

Frame Bench is designed to work offline. Apart from license verification, described under Licensing and activation below, it makes no network connections. We do not collect usage statistics or device information, and your captures, files and settings are never sent to us.

• No internet connection is needed to open, decode, edit or craft captures. Standard licenses are verified online; offline licenses are available for restricted networks.
• The app does not monitor or log what you do with it.
• Your captures, files and settings are never sent to us or any third party.
• This website does not use cookies or trackers. Our web host keeps ordinary server logs, such as IP address and time of connection.

Licensing and activation

Standard licenses are verified with our server at framebench.ca when they are activated and when the app starts. These requests contain only a license identifier and a random identifier created for the installation. They contain no name, email, capture, file or device information, and the license is not tied to any specific piece of hardware. If the app cannot connect, it keeps working for a limited period and then asks you to connect.

We keep a record of license activations (the license identifier, the random installation identifier, dates and a count). We use it to provide and support your license and to detect misuse, and keep it for as long as needed for those purposes. Because the license identifier belongs to a license issued to you, this record is linked to your license.

Offline licenses are available for air-gapped or restricted networks. An offline license makes no network connections at all.

When you request a license, we collect the information you give us directly by email: your name and/or company name, email address, and licensee address (for invoicing). This information is used only to process your purchase and issue your license. We do not use it for any other purpose, and we do not share it with any third party.

Third-party integrations

Frame Bench does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking tools.

Your privacy rights

We hold no usage data about how you use Frame Bench. The licensing information we do hold (the details you gave when requesting a license, and the activation records described above) can be accessed, corrected or deleted on request, subject to what we need to keep to honor your license. Changes to this statement

If Frame Bench is ever updated to include any form of data processing, this statement will be revised and made available in the app or on this website. We will always respect your privacy and inform you of any changes in how your data is handled.
